The swag is here, and I am re-living my two-day romp with Blogger Bash 2017 (@BloggerBashNYC). As a first-timer and elder blogger, I will admit hesitancy attending a conference I feared might have few meaningful take-aways. With each item I unboxed from the Toy Insider, I was reminded of how wrong I was; special needs-friendly the event and its sponsors were. This spectrum mom, Special Olympics physical therapist, and Autism Speaks Ambassador was pleased. My special highlights from each event: Babypalooza Tickle Water … [Read more...]
Taking an Inside Look at Rheumatoid Arthritis with Honestly RA
According to the Arthritis Foundation, rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease. From its very manageable size, to its adorably-themed Lands (DUPLO Valley for small fries and LEGO NINJAGO World for those ninjas-in-training, for example), to the onsite, "5-Gazillion Star" LEGOLAND Hotel, this resort truly feels like it was "built for kids." ALL kids. Every shape, size, age, and ability. If you have followed by blog, you might know I have a deep … [Read more...]
CHOC Walk in the Park Presented by Disneyland
In the past, I have written about my experience interning in a children's hospital, and how the CHOC Walk in the Park supports the important work that these facilities do year in and year out. I was equally touched to learn that Walt Disney himself was on the hospital's first Board of Directors! CHOC Walk in the Park Presented by Disneyland On Sunday, October 30, 2016, the Disneyland Resort once again opens its arms to support these children most in need. Since its inception in 1990, the CHOC Walk has raised over $26 million for … [Read more...]
