Spa Day at Walt Disney World

May 6, 2014 By D Marie 23 Comments

Another year of bedtime stories, serving up mom's magic meatloaf, bleaching baseball pants and hosting mega sleepovers entitles you to that one divine day.  How better to pamper yourself or your own mom than a day in Orlando devoted entirely to YOU.  And how better to accomplish that than a spa day at Walt Disney World!  Perhaps the toughest task will be deciding where on property to achieve Queen for a Day status.  It may take some planning and strategic thinking, but pure bliss is in sight... Somewhere in Corral F, awaiting the start of the Disneyland Half Marathon, weaves a lone figure making his way to what I assume is Corral A.  In the most unassuming manner, his … [Read more...]

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome guest blogger, Kimberly Kahl, to the Virtual runDisney family! Visit her on Facebook, Follow her on Twitter at @DisneyGalKimK, and most urgently, chEAR for her on May 3rd!! The Expedition Everest Challenge Scavenger Hunt.  It's what made me decide to run the EEC as my second-ever Disney run and third-ever race.  It also scares me.  One would think that as a non-runner, the 5K and obstacles would scare me, but I know I've got that covered.  Instead, prerace I'm … [Read more...]
