Walt Disney’s Apartment Decks the Halls

December 3, 2014 By D Marie 16 Comments

Look who has decorated for the holidays. Christmas tree and all! We all know Walt Disney's apartment will normally have a lit antique lamp in its window overlooking Disneyland's Town Square.  It is a tribute to the man and his dream, and it signifies that his spirit remains in his beloved park.  Folklore has it that the only time the lamp's light would be extinguished would be if Lillian or one of Walt's daughters was visiting Disneyland Resort. Giving Tuesday | Hold the Ice

December 2, 2014 By D Marie 8 Comments

The Making of the Haunted Mansion | Walt Disney As Your Ghost Host

October 29, 2014 By D Marie 15 Comments

Greetings from the 999 happy haunts.  During Walt Disney World's 40th Anniversary Celebrations, the Haunted Mansion was given its own party.  Room For 1 More gave full justice to this iconic attraction with a sit-down dinner in Disney's Contemporary Resort Fantasia Ballroom, entertainment by a spectral organist, singing graveyard musicians, and a one-of-a-kind presentation from Disney Imagineers ( Pete Carsillo, Eric Goodman, Jason Grandt and Jason Surrell) chronicling the development of the beloved dark ride. … [Read more...]
