Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Red Loop. Today we are sharing where you can find the best burgers at Disney.
Ahoy diners! Big gastronomic change is afloat in the former Downtown Disney area; Disney Springs is shaping up to become a dining oasis at Walt Disney Wold Resort.
One of the new, most unique destinations is The BOATHOUSE: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats, and destination it is. Schussler Creative (whose resume includes Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex Cafe, and Yak & Yeti) has partnered with The Gibsons Restaurant Group to build a total dining package; a beautiful waterside location, handsome venue, a full and varied menu, and recreational options to round out your meal.

The fleet of 9 “Amphicars” are restored dream boats from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, and are each floating museums. Ten other antique vessels are moored at The BOATHOUSE, but only 2 others are available for charter; The Venetian is a stunning 40-foot Italian Water Taxi, and the Lady Rose is a 19th-century steamboat.

This 24,000 square feet restaurant by-the-sea boasts 3 bars and seating for 600 in 3 dining rooms and an expansive outdoor deck.
I cannot mislead you here, The BOATHOUSE is upscale dining with a price point to match. BUT, the first thing out of our charming waiter’s mouth was, “We have the best burgers on property.” (Perhaps after our spin around the lake we looked more like chopped meat sea hands versus porterhouse ladies who lunch.)
He also highly recommended the Raw Bar, which my husband and I may have to try next week!
|My companion Janice from An Open Suitcase shared her “before” photo with me!|
The Classic Burger may take a bit of the wind out of your sails at $18, but Janice enjoyed it. Also offered are Filet Mignon Sliders, Gibsons “Sandwich King” Award Winning Burger (a spicy version of the standard), and Blue Angus Burgers ($10) on the Kids Menu.

I felt compelled to include this dessert creation that her dear pal had sent over for Janice’s birthday. It is listed as dessert for four, but we could have fed the entire restaurant with it. Put simply, it is to die for and would make any special occasion SPECIAL.
I suggest you immediately set sail for The BOATHOUSE on your next trip to Orlando. They serve until 2 a.m., so if you need a late-night burger fix, steer your vessel to The Landing!
