Healthy Family Dining at Downtown Disney~ Fulton’s Crab House
We've all heard the statistics: the prevalence of obesity amongst adults in the United States has risen dramatically in the past 5 years to nearly 34% of the population. But at a recent orthopedics symposium I was staggered to find that not only has the obesity rate in 6-19 year olds tripled in that same time period, but there is a staggering increase in the amount of joint disease- once reserved for the aged- in these children! So, in addition to skyrocketing rates of asthma, diabetes and heart disease, children are now at risk for … [Read more...]
Buena Vista Street
A good three months after our trip to the West Coast, I am still amazed at the level of theming, quality of workmanship, and authenticity of the architecture at Disney California Adventure's Buena Vista Street. Inspired by streets, plazas and buildings from the 1920's and 1930's, of the kind that met Walt Disney when he arrived in Los Angeles County, and named after the road in Burbank where Walt Disney moved The Walt Disney Company and studios in 1937, each railing, balcony and marquee has been plussed to transport us back … [Read more...]
Pearls From Epcot’s 30th Anniversary Celebrations

As a way of thanking each and every author and supporter of 30 Days to 30 Years, it is an honor to share the highlights from exactly what we've … [Read more...]
My Disney Resort Room Says “Home”
Welcome to those of you joining me from Magik Mouse and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail. What's in a room? After 40 years, what I expect from a Disney Resort is nothing less than a home away from home; and much, much more than that. I expect and crave that magical connection that I, my siblings and my children have grown up with. It's all the little things that make things feel right. The greeter at the door saying "welcome home"; the seamless check-in; the … [Read more...]
