Chef Gary Jones Feeds Runners at Eat Up, Meet Up!

October 10, 2011 By D Marie 13 Comments

Admittedly, Disney Chef Gary Jones spends most of his time at the Walt Disney World Resort sorting through the special dietary needs of vacationers, but on the morning of September 30th, he was focused on feeding a room of hungry runners.  At the “Meet Up, Eat Up” special event, 25 runners were treated to a training session with runDisney consultant Jeff Galloway and Olympic track coach Brooks Johnson, and then a quick food preparation class at the ESPN Wide World of Sports venue.  Chef Gary shared a quick and healthy recipe that he himself uses at home; one that is filling and optimizes performance by incorporating low-fat, high fiber ingredients.  It was quite tasty, so I thought I’d share it with you!  (As you can see, I wolfed most of it down before I got a photo.)

This cereal can easily made the night before you run (or participate in any endurance event) so that you can grab and GO.  Enjoy!!
