Three Disney Parks and one scrumptious Finish Line Party later… New for 2013 will be the Disney Wine & Dine Pre-Race Taste; a private party at Lights, Motors, Action!® Extreme Stunt Show® the evening before the half marathon (6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.). Featuring Disney Characters, five tastes from the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival (including one “signature sip”) and early 6:00 p.m. entry into Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the $79 price tag might seem a bit steep, but it is oh-so-tempting. Maybe I’ll bite! Spring fever??

Love the runner's view! That Lumiere is really impressive.
He was back for the Princess Half Marathon (sans lights), so my guess is that he's a hit!!
What a great runners view! I love that you got to run through Animal Kingdom too. I'll be watching Wreck It Ralph from the treadmill (which you inspired me to get back on, TU) later today!!
Happy Spring!! Thanks for sharing and for joining in the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop fun today!!
Go Deb, GO!! runDisney races are incredible in the variety of parks and experiences that they deliver with each. Sure hope that DLP race comes to fruition!!
Love the photos, Spring Fever is right!
Thanks Judy. We need to keep up the positive thinking- it's freezing in the Northeast today, with more snow on the way! 🙁 (At least running keeps you warm. :D)
I love Lumiere and you look fab! I may have to put this race on my to do list. 🙂
Night races are fab, and once you finish the Disneyland Half, you'll be HOOKED!!
Yes, that price tag is a bit steep, but it is definitely tempting! I love the rapunzel costume! Did you run with that braid? Wow! I think that would have lost that off of my head within minutes of the start! Very impressive! ~Michaelyn {Mousekatools}
Michaelyn- can you believe that not only did I keep it on the entire race, but it was so comfortable I didn't even know it was there! It had an elastic that I wrapped around my usual hair clips and it stayed perfectly. Thank goodness for Etsy. 😀
Great pictures! My hubby and I are signed up for Wine & Dine for the first time and I can't wait!! And your pictures reminded me that the Christmas decorations will be up AND we'll get to run through them – now I'm even MORE excited. 🙂
Oh how you will love it! The Finish Line Party really is something special, and as you can see, there are so many perks along the course. Good luck!!!
One day I WILL run a Disney race! Thanks for the inspiration!
It only takes just one… You'll never look at Disney the same way again!!
Love the runner's view, you almost have me ready to sign up! Let's see how the ToT 10 Miler goes first. LOL Thanks for the motivation and great pics!
What a great place to start Kelly And if you can do 10… 😀
Love all the pics, It definitely inspires me. I can't wait to run my first race TOT 10 miler. I love that Lumiere!!
Diane, I think I'm more excited for your first race than anything I will run this year. GO YOU!!
Love it! Someday I will run this!
I hope your knee is being kind to you. There's no doubt a runDisney event with your name on it in the near future Beth!
Awesome! I would love to do a runDisney event one day! They look like so much fun! :]
They really are Onna; the running is almost secondary!!
Nice running take on the Spring theme!
Thanks KJ- my flower photos were looking pretty sad. 😉
How neat! Thanks for taking us along on your run! If was to ever do a run, it would have to be a Disney one because they sure make it look more fun. The Lumiere is awesome!
You are right on all counts Mary; Lumiere was something special. So much so, I actually stopped running and took a few photos. runDisney events are truly unique!!
HI there,
So glad I found your blog! I am also a Disney Runner. I was looking for info on the Pre race taste 2013. I guess it's new this year so there is not much info to be had! I'll keep this site bookmarked now that I found it! ~M
I'm so glad too! Yes, the Disney Wine & Dine Pre-Race Taste is new this year. (Don't you just love how runDisney is always injecting new surprises into their line-up?!) You may have also read that they will be introducing the next generation of New Balance/runDisney shoes that weekend too. If you'd like a peak into what you can expect for that evening, I would suggest checking out some of the Trip Reports during this year's Disney Social Media Moms Conference; they also held one of their dinner events at Lights, Motors, Action!® Extreme Stunt Show®. I BET it will be very similar! Have a great race!!
