My Disney Diva Wardrobe- My Firmoo Sunglass Review

As you may have read, even though August has just begun, I’m ready to pack for September!  I simply can’t wait to join the “Disney Divas” for a weekend I expect will be full of running (it’s The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend), eating (the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival begins), nostalgia (Epcot celebrates its 30th Anniversary on October 1, 2012), friendship and all things Walt Disney World.

I know from last year’s experience that in Orlando, late September can be hot and sunny.  A Diva’s going to need sunglasses!  Soooo, I was thrilled to agree to do a review for Firmoo Global Online Optical Store.  No, I had never heard of Firmoo, but after learning that they have over 300,000 customers worldwide (and 500,000 fans on Facebook), I thought I’d do some homework.  The company not only offers a wide variety of both prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses, they are fashion forward.  But what completely sold me was their Free for New Buyers Program.  If a retailer is so confident in their product that they are literally giving it away as an introduction, I’m sold!

After browsing the Firmoo site, I can say that I was impressed with their virtual “try-on” feature, and thorough description of each product; sorting glasses by shape, material, frame and size.  Because I have a long and fairly slim face, I normally have a very difficult time finding frames that don’t overtake my features.  I was thrilled to find sunglasses that were delicate AND in a color and styling I liked. My sunglasses arrived in less than one week after I placed my FREE order, and came complete with: a hard shell padded eyeglass case; soft case; microfiber cleaning cloth and repair kit.  I’ve bought many sunglasses on-line before, paying over $100 for some, and never did I receive so many extras.  Ever.

Where better to take my new shades out for a test drive, but at a super sunny day at Yankee Stadium?!

Because I am so fair, I often have difficulty with the sun, my eyes tearing if not fully protected.  No such problem that day!  (Although I did feel like crying over the final score:  a 5-4 Baltimore Oriole win.)  I’ve worn my new sunglasses every sunny day since, and I honestly think they are Disney Diva Weekend worthy.  Though “free”, they are of top quality and have beautiful detail.
