Moms’ Night Out is now moms’ night in. With Tuesday’s release to DVD and Blu-ray, this lighthearted faith-based comedy can now come into your living room; make-up and heels optional! Sony/AFFIRM Films holds a mirror up to every mom in this 98-minute flick and exposes our joys and agonies, beauties and warts for all the world to see. Or should I say, for ourselves to see..
Wholesome film stars Sean Astin, Patricia Heaton, and Sarah Drew are the headliners, but it is (for my money) country western icon Trace Adkins who steals the show and writes the moral to the story. As the title predicts, three moms, each representing a different stature and decade in life, plot and plan a solitary night of escapism. Lists made; kids prepped, and husbands are left in charge. As if. The evening unravels in the most hilarious of ways, and just when all looks hopeless, philosopher Trace (burly biker dude “Bones”) finds meaning in the motherhood chaos; no matter the mess, the job of a mother matters deeply.

So glad you agree Casey!
I saw this movie last spring and it cracked me up! The best part to me was that it was filmed in Birmingham, Alabama! I saw familiar places throughout the movie. I'd love this for a girls night complete with ice cream, giggles and nail polish! 🙂
Beth, I had forgotten that Birmingham was "home base." Best of luck with ice cream night!!
