I’m Waiting…

September 5, 2012 By D Marie 6 Comments

Welcome to those of you joining me from Magik Mouse and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 3rd stop on our Magical Blogorail. It's been nearly a year.  The announcement came at last September's Meet Up, Eat Up event, and I'm waiting.  Not a single day spent on the track or treadmill has passed without that carrot dangling in front of my mind's eye. Courtesy of runDisney This photo was taken (see me smiling?) right after Faron Kelley, Director of Marketing for Disney Sports Attractions, had addressed … [Read more...]

30 Days to 30 Years- 1986

September 5, 2012 By D Marie 7 Comments

We are counting down the days to the 30th Anniversary of Epcot by celebrating each of its 30 years with guest posts from 30 Disney bloggers!  Today, my co-host Beth and I introduce Katrina from Keys to the Magic Travel to spotlight the year 1986. I was born in Winter Park, Florida - a small town just outside of Orlando - and I feel like I grew up at Disney World.  I had lots of family members who worked at the park - including my uncle John who sold popcorn on Main Street.  And that … [Read more...]

September 4, 2012 By D Marie 4 Comments

Today, 30 Days to 30 Years moves ahead to Epcot's third birthday; Beth (@disneymom2jhe, Pursuing the Magic and The Magical Blogorail founder) and I present 1985, courtesy of Amy, a longtime neighbor to the Mouse. One of my favorite Disney memories (and I have LOT of them as a near-native Floridian) is from April 1985.  I saw my very first concerts at Disney’s Blast From the Past event in the Magic Kingdom with my family.  A mere eight years old, this was a big deal and I didn’t really … [Read more...]

30 Days to 30 Years- 1984

September 3, 2012 By D Marie 3 Comments

Marching along with our blogger countdown to the 30th Anniversary of Epcot, my co-host, @disneymom2jhe of Pursuing the Magic and The Magical Blogorail founder, and I are honored to introduce blogger Rosanne from The Disney Point to the series. EPCOT Center 1984 Memories It was fate that made me a Disney fan. It's true. I was supposed to be born in late September. In fact, my mom even went into labor in late September. Three days later, on October 1, 1984, I was born. If you read my blog "The Disney … [Read more...]
