A 50 Year Disney Side

January 14, 2014 By D Marie 43 Comments

Welcome to those of you joining me from Heidi’s Head and to those of  you just hopping aboard.  I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

I’m not sure I have any other side.  I’ve written it before; Disney has been the backdrop for much of my life for the past 50 years.  5-0.  Words won’t cut it, so we’ll have to rely on the way back machine…

New York World’s Fair 1964

Magic Kingdom 1972

Magic Kingdom 1974

Magic Kingdom 1975

Magic Kingdom 1982

Beach at Disney’s Polynesian Resort 1983

First trip with children- 1994

Magic Kingdom 1996

Magic Kingdom 2006

Disneyland Paris 2011

Disneyland Paris Hotel 2011

21st birthday and first adult beverage- Disney California Adventure 2012

An introduction to runDisney and a Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal- 2012

Reunion trip; first time together at Disney’s Polynesian Resort since 1973.

I’m not sure my #DisneySide needs further explanation.  My guess is that this Disney Side will take several more iterations before I’m done, and that’s the beauty of the gift.  Disney really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Thank you for joining me today.  Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Return to Disney.

Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:

1st Stop~       Heidi’s Head
2nd Stop~      DIStherapy
3rd Stop~      Return to Disney
4th Stop~      A Disney Mom’s Thoughts
Final Stop~   Frontierland Station
