Happy 15th Birthday Disneyland Paris! The year is 2007, and Beth of A Disney Mom’s Thoughts will take you, Beth of Pursuing the Magic and The Magical Blogorail, Manda of Manda’s Disney Blog and me along for a look at the celebrations.
2007.
What a great year! This was the year I married Jonathan
and we were lucky to spend 2 weeks in Italy on our honeymoon.
Italy is the closest I’ve ever been to Paris so that’s why I
chose the year 2007 to research! Yes, all of this post is pure
research since I’ve never been to this fabulous park. One
day…. One day…
On April 1, 2007, Disneyland Resort Paris celebrated it’s 15th Anniversary.
Along with this celebration, DRP opened several new attractions!
- Crush’s Coaster (6/9/07) is a thrill ride at Walt Disney
Studios Park that is a spinning roller coaster which also includes
dark ride scenes. For a great write up, description and photos
visit dlrpmagic.com.
- Cars Quatre Roues Rallye (6/9/07) opened alongside Crush’s
Coaster in Walt Disney Studios Park. This is the original Cars
attraction to a Disney Park! This is a spinning ride (similar
to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups) where you ride in “cars” traveling down
Route 66 in Radiator Springs. You can see beautiful, detailed
pictures of this attraction here.
- High School Musical on Tour (6/16/07) “The Disney Channel’s Original Movie High
School Musical is now on tour! This award winning movie and
triple-platinum selling musical comes to Walt Disney Studios Park.
Find out how Gabriella and Troy’s decision to audition turns their
world and their school upside down! This pop-culture phenomenon will
showcase all the hit-songs that made this show such a huge success.
Whether you are a kid or a “kid at heart”, High School Musical is sure
to please.” From

- Hollywood Boulevard (12/6/07) is an area at Walt Disney
Studios Park. It sets the stage for “street sets”, a food court
and Tower of Terror.
- Tower of Terror (12/22/07) “Come face
to face with your fears in the once glamorous, now eerie and abandoned
Hollywood Tower Hotel. Discover the mysteries of
what happened to the guests that fateful night back on October 31,
1939 when lightening struck. Nothing could prepare you for plunging 13
floors into the recesses of The Twilight Zoneβ’.” From

Along with celebrating it’s 15th anniversary and opening several new
attractions, Disneyland Resort Paris was the #1 tourist destination in
Europe for 2007. Along with being the number 1 attraction, this
park was approximately $2 billion in debt to the US.
Do you have any special memories of Disneyland Resort Paris from 2007?
I’d love to hear about them!
