The 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

October 2, 2015 By D Marie 4 Comments

Hungry for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival?  I know I am!!

With social media saturated with images from the 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Presented by Chase, I am positively salivating!  Lasting through November 16th, 2015, there are 56 days of culinary possibilities ahead and a global mix of tastes at the ready.

For the very first time, the global marketplace experiences will expand into Future World.  However, the majority of the offerings sit along World Showcase, where you can “eat and drink your way around the world.”  These small plates and sips from 30 global marketplaces allow for sampling of sometimes exotic tidbits that we might not otherwise be exposed to.  Let me take you on a gourmand’s tour:

Africa
American Adventure Coffee Cart
Australia
Belgium
Block & Hans (spirits)
Brazil
Brewers Collection
Canada
Cheese Studio – NEW
Chew Lab – NEW  (Inspired by ABCs “The Chew”)
China
Craft Beers
Desserts & Champagne
Dominican Republic
Farm Fresh
Fife & Drum Tavern
France
Germany
Greece
Hawai’i
Hops & Barley
Intermissions Cafe
Ireland
Italy
Japan
Mexico
Morocco
New Zealand
Odyssey Coffee Cart
Patagonia
Poland
Refreshment Cart
Refreshment Cool Post
Scotland
Showcase Coffee Cart
South Korea
Sustainable Chew – NEW  (Inspired by ABCs “The Chew”)
Test Track Coffee Cart
Wine Studio – NEW
**  Plus 32 NEW marketplace dishes and 75 NEW beverages!!

And what to do whilst grazing and supping?  Eat to the Beat, of course.  In the beautiful outdoor America Gardens Theatre, you can enjoy some of your nostalgic favorites playing to the hungry crowds three times each evening.  Over 20 acts, from Boyz II Men to Chaka Khan to Air Supply, will perform throughout the festival.

Not full yet?  Not to worry.  Special Dining Experiences are aplenty in 2015.  Food & Beverage Pairings, Dining Adventures Around the World, Party For The Senses, Rockin’ Burger Block Party, Eat to the Beat Dining Packages, Culinary Demonstrations, Mixology Seminars, and Dining with Celebrity Chefs are all available by calling 407-WDW-Fest.

For the young and young at heart, the new Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Seek looks to be scrumptious fun.  Remy statues hidden around World Showcase promise to lead one and all on a festival scavenger hunt; with maps, stickers, and prizes!

New this year are Facebook Place Tips; via your Facebook mobile app, marketplace menus, maps and magical event factoids will appear at the top of your News Feed.  Never miss a favorite dish or libation again!  (But I’ll be planning on coming prepared with my mobile charger.)

Inside tip:  My personal recommendation is to time your Epcot International Food & Wine Festival vacation when it overlaps with two other not-to-be-missed Walt Disney World Resort special events.  Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (September 15- November 1, 2015) and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (November 8- December 18, 2015) will add a side dish of magic and wonder to any stay.

Better yet, meet me at this year’s Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, where you can carb-load and protein-fix like no other race weekend.  Be sure to check the updated Best Runner Eats at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.  After the race, you can eat and drink to your healthy heart’s content at the Runner’s Ultimate Night Out.  How’s that for special? Don’t walk, RUN to this year’s festival.  Ciao!

I am sad to not be visiting Disney in the Fall this year like years past. But my sadness comes from missing MNSSHP and Osborne Lights. As far as the food and wine festival, i've never found anything that was really amazing ( except the ice cream ribbon from China and I only ever found that one year..boo)

I understand Meranda- and it's the final year (as we know it) for the Osborne Family of Spectacle of Dancing Lights!! Honestly, I WISH I didn't have so many favorite goodies at the festival, especially before the race! We'll miss you. ;(

Oh wow… that pork slider looks AMAZING! Great photos, you've definitely whet my appetite for a Fall visit. Have a wonderful time at the Wine & Dine Half! I'm still very sad our paths will not cross at the Princess Half, but hopefully we'll change that at another runDisney race someday. 🙂

It's really as good as it looks Tami! (I even made it at HOME!) Not to worry about the race, I have a feeling that once you are done with February's half marathon, our paths will cross often! 😀
