To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here, age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.

Disneyland dedication
60 years. Five international Disney Parks later (with another to open shortly) Walt’s words are as fresh and relevant as they were six decades ago. Those words have provided tons of pixie dust and have become a source of enchantment to millions since Disneyland’s Opening Day. ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?? You know you are! My co-host (Gayle Turner of Disney Gals fame) and I are looking for 60 passionate writers to give Walt his due. 60 Days to 60 Years follows four other Disney community retrospectives (40 Days to 40 Years of Walt Disney World; 30 Days to 30 Years of Epcot; 20 Days to 20 Years of Disneyland Paris; 15 Days to 15 Years of Disney’s Animal Kingdom) in a two-month blogger celebration of Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary.
Are you willing to contribute one of the 60 “Happiest Posts on Earth?” Has a Disney Park been a “source of joy and inspiration” to you?? We are looking for bloggers, casual fans, and Walt groupies from all corners of the globe. It IS a small world after all! Each magical year will be marked by a post that will be shared on all social media channels.
– Request to join our Facebook group.
– Pick a year.
– Write about an attraction that opened, or a special event/happening, or a family vacation that took place that year.
Use your imagination- everything (well, it needs to be “G” rated) is acceptable and welcome. Don’t have a blog? Post on ours!
Comment below, contact Didi Marie and/or Gayle Turner, or reach out to us via any social media channel. WE want YOU!!
Beginning May 18th, it’s 60 Days to 60 Years.
Magically yours,
Gayle & Didi
Please count me in to write about Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room which opened in 1963. I would love to write with you gals! XOX
I can't wait to read about that attraction Jindy- Walt's fingerprints are all over it!!
I'm in – I'll do WDW since I've been there more than Disneyland. I choose Hoop Dee Doo Revue – I belive 1974, but I need to double check the date.
We would love to have you join us! I will add you to the Facebook group. Friend me at "Didi Marie" and I will get you going!
Oh my gosh I'd love to contribute! I worked both Storybookland Canal Boats and Matterhorn for a summer while on Plaid hiatus. Or if you want me to write something about tour guides I can do that too, I loved being a Walk in Walt's Footsteps guide. Love the idea ladies!!! When will the FB group be activated?
Thrilled you are "in" Debbie- it sounds like you have SO many fantastic stories to share!
I would love to do its a small world! 🙂 my absolute favorite! Or Peter Pan!
So happy you are one of our merry bunch, Camille. 😉
I'd love to write something for 2010, to commemorate a special visit to DLR that year. Is there a link to join the FB group?
We would absolutely love for you to join us KJ- I realize there aren't many years left, but maybe you can do a historical piece… 😀
I'd love to help! I've been to WDW 18 times, done 3 cruises, own DVC – OKW, AKV and GC. I've been to DL 2x as a kid! We live in TX but have raised our 4 kids at WDW 🙂

We're thrilled that you can retell the story of 1976 Carrie!
Hey Didi! Can I write about the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour? This sounds like such a fun blog hop with a lot of great topics!! Thanks to you and Gayle for hosting! 🙂
Oh wait! I just read Debbie's comment above – she probably has way more insight on the tour than I do! 🙂
Ok I'm going to keep thinking of a topic!
I hope so Karen- I added you to the group so you can see what's left. 😉
Please count me in!!! We've been to Disneyland every other year since 2007 (plus plenty before that) and were there the week they opened the new Princess Faire area – so maybe I could write about that?
Hi Danielle. Incredibly, all 60 years were spoken for within the first few days. (I guess there are many, many of us Disneyland lovers in the blogoshere!) May I keep you in mind in the event that someone needs to pull out? Either way, we'd love to have you follow along the 60-day journey with us!
