Lights, camera, ACTION! This year’s WDW Radio E-Ticket 2013- The Great Movie Ride Dinner took us inside one of my favorite attractions for a behind the scenes look at… the movies!!

Lou Mongello (Host and Producer of WDW Radio) escorts us “behind the curtain”; leaving the usual vehicles behind. |

My personal favorite; nobody does it like Gene. |

Some Gangster Players authenticate the 1930’s Chicago surroundings. |

Have you spotted this Hidden Mickey before? (Just his shoe, that is!) |

Recognize this fellow from runDisney TV? He was our “Producer” for the evening. |

Hooray for dinner! |

A tuba, not a riffle. |

Another Hidden Mickey and ancient friend, in hieroglyphics. |

Parting was such sweet sorrow! This once in a lifetime experience was just that. “This is no ordinary tour because The Great Movie Ride brings these movies to life, and puts you right in the middle of the action.” Exactly!
I am so jealous! What a wonderful experience. And I had no clue about that hidden Mickey!
Neither did I Mary! Now I can't wait to take my kids and show them what a Disney know-it-all I am!!
I love these- and love this ride!
Thanks Patty- I'm so glad the classics still have fan appeal!
WHAT you had dessert in Munchkinland? Too cool! Fun pictures.
And dinner with the gangsters! Leave it to Lou Mongello to do things BIG!!
I have heard of / seen disney brides who have had their cocktail hour / reception at the great movie ride but never anything for the public like this. What was this for? So cool that you got to experience this! Thanks for sharing!
I know! I have been drooling over the pictures for years, so when Lou announced this year's event, I couldn't pass it up! This is the second annual, so check for next year's announcement over the summer. What will he think of next?? WDW Radio E-Ticket 2013- The Great Movie Ride Dinner
Wow what an experience! Great pics
Thanks Casey- I'll just never look at this attraction the same way again! (Just call me Dorothy… :D)
Thank for sharing this awesome experience – looks like it was a ton of fun 😉
Thanks Diane- you know I'm a sucker for "access". It even got me running!! 😉
Oh my gosh, what a lucky lady you are! Thank you for sharing these photos with us. 🙂
I literally have been saving my pennies since last year Cindy; gotta love it when the pocket change pays dividends!! 🙂
Jealous as well. I did hear about this, what a great experience. I have a lot of blurry pictures from this attraction as it's dark and moving, would be nice to just walk around.
That was my favorite part of the night Sean (although my photos still aren't perfect)!!
OMG!!! That is freakin' awesome! I've seen other people post pictures of eating dinner in there, but I've never "known" anyone to actually do it! You're my hero!! 🙂
Ha! I'll be glad to have this as my "claim to fame" Beth!! They really did a great job, and I would say it was worth the sticker price… Just don't tell my husband!
I've never been able to catch the hieroglyphic Mickey and Donald. So neat to see a closeup!
Isn't that something? If there hadn't been a crowd around them, I would have missed it again! Those Imaginneers are so darned clever. 😉
OMG! Love that you got to do this! I have always wanted to. Fabulous behind the scene pics!
Deb, keep your eye on Lou, you just never know where he'll throw a party next!!
Oh my – what fun that must have been! I would love so many aspects of this – the ride, Lou, etc. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Heidi, you are so right; being able to appreciate all of the elements of The Great Movie Ride at a leisurely pace was really special!
Wow, that's an amazing time.
It was pretty cool Heather!
That's pretty awesome! I've never been able to do any of the hard ticket events – between my husband who isn't as in to Disney as me (I'm still working on it) and 2 little ones… I'll get my chance eventually!!
From my aged perspective: "Good things come to those who wait.". (And then you appreciate it more when it does happen.) 😉
I'm jealous too! This is one of my favorite attractions. I would have loved to have checked out the Indiana Jones section. 🙂
Melissa- you could easily spend an hour checking out all those hieroglyphics. Such incredible detail!!
This would be a dream come true for me! And dessert in Munchkinland? They would have had to pick me up off the floor. Looks like an amazing event!
It was a splurge Lisa, but worth every penny. We'll never look at this attraction the same way again!!
