Yes, I’m the blogger who got her first iPhone two weeks ago. The vast world of handy apps and social media connectivity has eluded me all these many years. I say it’s perfect and fortuitous timing because I now am the proud owner of two apps that came with on-the-job training! Thanks to the MyPrintly Mom Meet-Up #CMYK event of June 14th, 2015, I have some tools and know-how that even I can use and share. By all means, let me show you how to “create memories you keep!”
**This is not a sponsored post, though I did receive free entry into The MyPrintly Mom Meet-Up. As always, my statements and opinions are all mine!
1. HP Instant Ink
Who among us hasn’t felt the panic of hitting “print” on a project, only to see the dreaded “out of ink” signal?! For me, it usually occurs as I am heading out the door to a board meeting or to teach my first-grade religion class. What’s a lesson without my custom Noah’s Ark coloring pages?? And does Staples ever have the correct cartridge in stock?? Well, HP now offers an automatic ink replacement service to prevent such calamities. Your printer automatically orders the ink depending on the number of pages printed. I’m a fan of any machine that can count better than me! Plus, you can save up to 50% on your ink costs. AND they’ll provide postage-paid recycling for used cartridges. To utilize this service, you must own one of HP’s Instant Ink eligible printers. Guess who has one at the top of her Christmas list? HP, my first-graders will send you a rainbow-themed thank you.
2. HP Social Media Snapshot
This free HP Social Media Snapshots app (for iPhone and iPad) allows you to print your best-loved Instagram, Facebook, or Flickr photos, all with the punch of a hashtag.
Imagine a world where your treasured memories, once floating forever in cyberspace, could finally be appreciated and showcased in your home.

Just a sampling of the Disney Side #MyPrintly handiwork that evening. |
3. HP Cards
Plan, invite, and decorate your party- all remotely from your phone! Holy cow. It is so hard to wrap my shrinking prefrontal cortex around this one.
So, I dabbled. On the ride home from this year’s Disney Social Media Moms Celebration On-The-Road event (not to worry, hubs was driving) I began party planning for my son’s upcoming birthday.
Yup, invites created and e-mailed in less than 5 minutes thanks to the HP Cards app. I am already plotting the printing bonanza for party room decoration and thank you cards; all I need is a well-charged phone!!!
Luckily, the evening presented many new photo ops and memories made. New “material.”
