If you spend time with teens and young adults, you know that the alarm clock is not their friend. More so when on vacation. And this is how we stumbled upon the everyday brunch offered at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s Grand Floridian Cafe. The kids used to call it the Walt’s “diner” and in many ways they are right! (Except that no diner I have ever visited has Victorian curtains and a rose garden!!)
This is, however, a casual spot that offers a wide variety of foods for every taste for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And now our favorite late breakfast-brunch location on the Walt Disney World property.
And for some reasons, not well-known. This is one dining option that you can typically find availability at- even on the day of. It is a quick monorail ride away from the always-busy Magic Kingdom, where those table seating reservations are much more difficult to find.
If breakfast foods are your thing (they surely are for my family), then you can arrive between 7:30 and 11:00 am. AND their lunch menu (11:05 am- 2:00 pm) offers multiple breakfast/brunch choices, including those coveted Mickey waffles!!!
Pricing is moderate by theme park standards ($15 for The Grand Breakfast, and $14 for French Toast).
And no brunch is official without a Mimosa! Being grand in every way, the Grand Floridian cafe offers their signature version- the Grand Mimosa (champagne, orange juice, and a splash of Grand Marnier), of course.
A full bar is available. Valet parking is an option. Something for everyone. Including dinner, which is offered between 5:00 and 9:00 pm. All this leads us to say: the Grand Floridian Cafe- brunch every day, practically perfect in every way!
